Why we exist
Most long-distance moves are sold on price, then executed by whoever the dispatcher happens to have available. We built VelvetMove on the opposite premise: that a home worth moving carefully deserves to be matched with a mover chosen for precision, not price — and coordinated as a planning discipline, not a transaction.

Every move is owned by a single relocation specialist from first call to final placement. You will know their name in the first conversation and will not need to repeat yourself to anyone else.
A written plan before pack day.
Your mover delivers a written move plan — inventory, crating list, vehicle plan, building windows, climate specifications, contingency days — and works against the plan, not in spite of it.
Dedicated crews, dedicated trucks.
Your move travels in a dedicated trailer. No shared loads. No transfers. The crew that packs your home is the crew that places it.
Discretion as a default.
NDAs at consultation, unmarked vehicles where preferred, no public disclosure of clients or routes. We assume privacy is the standard, not the upgrade.
